In a horrifying turn of events, a Chinese woman from Weifang City, Shandong province, shares her traumatic experience after undergoing a double eyelid cosmetic surgery at the Weifang Kuiwen Liru Medical Beauty Clinic. The procedure, which was inted to improve her appearance, ed up leaving her with blurred vision, hr loss, and mental anguish.

On August 17th, Zhang Yating from Beijing detled her unfortunate ordeal following the double eyelid surgery in November 2021 at the medical clinic located in Weifang. The procedure cost approximately CNY30,000 US$4,200. However, during and immediately after the operation, she felt severe discomfort that escalated upon discovering an unexpected outcome.

The woman noticed her left eyeball was stitched together with its corner post-surgery, a horrifying realization that prompted immediate alarm. In November 2021, Zhang explns in her recount of events, I underwent double eyelid surgery because the outer corners of my eyes were uneven. The doctor sd he would make some adjustments during the operation but instead ed up stitching together my eyeball and the corner area.

Zhang's story is not just one of physical distress; it has deeply impacted her mental health. She now suffers from depression due to this traumatic experience, which also caused hr loss. After experiencing discomfort post-surgery, I found that there was a thread-like connection between my eyeball and its outer corner, she recounts.

The surgeon, Wang - the clinic's director, initially assured Zhang that the condition was not serious and promised an additional operation to correct the mistake by separating them. However, the tissues fused agn a week later, leading to inflammation and limited movement in her left eye. is persistent blurred vision that leaves her depent on eye drops.

Zhang attempted negotiations with the clinic for compensation or referral to a hospital in Shangh for corrective surgery. Instead of cooperation, she was met with resistance - the clinic insisted on local solutions at potentially lower costs.

I requested CNY30,000 reimbursement, Zhang states, but he only offered CNY10,000; it wouldn't even cover my travel expenses to Shangh. Moreover, payment delays compounded her hardships.

Zhang is now grappling with severe mental and physical challenges, including the development of depression and hr loss. The Weifang medical beauty clinic has not provided any official response regarding Zhang's concerns.

The incident garnered widespread attention on Chinese social media platforms such as Weibo, where countless comments echoed similar sentiments:

In July of the same year, influencer Qin Xinyu expressed his plight following a fled nose surgery and composed a viral song titled Return My Nose Mum Gave Me, highlighting the harsh realities faced by those who fall victim to such mishaps in the beauty industry.
